Terms and conditions

The site is operated by the Fabrica Artizanală bakery in Alba Iulia, Romania (the “bakery” or “we”). These terms apply to visiting the site, creating an account, subscriptions and orders placed through the site.

By creating an account or placing an order you declare that you have read these terms and accept them. We keep the version of the terms you accepted, and the date, in your account.

You can browse products and fill the cart without an account. To place an order or create a subscription you need an account with a verified email address and a phone number.

You must be at least 18 and give correct and complete details: name, phone and delivery address. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for the activity in your account. You can delete the account from the profile page; what happens to your data is explained in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or block an account that is used abusively or fraudulently.

Each product page shows the name, weight options, ingredients, allergens and storage instructions. The products are made by hand in small batches, so shape, colour and weight can vary slightly from one piece to another.

Prices are in Romanian lei (RON). Prices in the cart are indicative: the price that applies is the one the site calculates when you finalise the order. If a price has changed in the meantime, we show you the new total before you submit the order.

We may change prices and remove products from the range. Changes do not affect orders already placed.

We deliver only on Tuesday and Friday. You choose a delivery day from those available at checkout. An order for a delivery day can be placed or cancelled by 12:00 (Romanian time) the day before delivery. After this deadline the bakery starts preparing the orders for that day, and the order can no longer be cancelled through the site.

You submit the order with the “Comandă cu obligație de plată” (order with obligation to pay) button. The contract is formed when the order is registered, which we confirm on the site and by email; the confirmation email is your confirmation on a durable medium. We may refuse or cancel an order if a product is no longer available, if the details are incomplete or if delivery to the given address is not possible. In that case we tell you and you owe nothing.

To prevent abuse, the number of open orders, and of orders sent within one hour, from the same account is limited.

You can cancel an order from your account, at no cost, by 12:00 (Romanian time) the day before delivery. An order cannot be changed after it is placed: if you want something else, cancel the order and place a new one before the deadline.

After the deadline the order can no longer be cancelled through the site. If you have an urgent problem, contact us through the contact page or on WhatsApp and we will look for a solution together.

A subscription is an order that repeats on the delivery days you choose, with the products and address saved in your account. At each deadline an active subscription becomes a normal order for that delivery, at the prices in force at that time; the prices shown in your account are indicative. For courier deliveries, the courier cost is added to every delivery. Payment is made on delivery, for each order separately.

Up to the deadline of a delivery you can skip it, pause the subscription, change the products or stop the subscription from your account. A change applies from the first delivery whose deadline has not yet passed. After the deadline the resulting order is treated like any other order and can no longer be cancelled through the site.

If a product in the subscription is no longer available, we leave it out of the order and tell you by email. If the delivery can no longer be prepared at all (for example because the address is missing), that delivery is skipped and we tell you by email.

The bakery delivers to your home, free of charge, in Alba Iulia, Micești, and Lancrăm, only on delivery days (Tuesday and Friday). Delivery takes place on the chosen day; the site offers no time window and we do not guarantee a specific time.

In all other places delivery is by courier. The courier cost is shown at checkout, before you submit, and is added to the total. The order arrives within 24–48 hours of the chosen delivery day.

You must be available at the address and phone number you gave on the delivery day. If you cannot be reached and we do not agree a new handover, the order is treated as not collected; because the products are fresh, they cannot be kept for another day.

The available delivery days are those shown at checkout. On public holidays the schedule may change; if an order already placed is affected, we tell you.

Payment is made on delivery, in cash or by card, to the person who hands over the order (the bakery or the courier). Nothing is paid online, and the site does not collect or store card details.

Our products (fresh bread and bakery products) are goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. Under Article 16(d) of Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance No. 34/2014, consumers have no 14-day right of withdrawal for such goods. Your statutory rights regarding faulty products are unaffected.

If a product is missing from your order, you received a different product from the one you ordered or a product is faulty, you can write to us as soon as possible, preferably on the delivery day, through the contact page or on WhatsApp, with a photo if possible. We put it right by replacing the product, delivering it with the next delivery or refunding its price, as appropriate.

If we cannot reach an agreement, you can turn to the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) and use alternative dispute resolution (SAL) at reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.

Your personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Law No. 190/2018, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The site is to be used only for real orders with real details, without attempts to disrupt its operation or security. The photos, texts, name and logo belong to the bakery and may not be copied or reused without our written consent.

We are not liable for delays or for being unable to deliver because of events beyond our control (extreme weather, breakdowns, official restrictions, accidents). In such cases we tell you and cancel or reschedule the order.

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the date of the last update. Orders already placed remain subject to the terms in force when they were placed.

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes are settled amicably or, failing that, by the competent Romanian courts, without affecting your rights as a consumer.
